Run to the Father: A Prayer for Love

Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog! This week I am continuing on my 4 part series titled Run to the Father. Today in particular I chose to write on Love ❤

If you are cooped up in a loud home like myself during quarantine, you may find that the people you live with are beginning to get on your nerves; even more than usual and there’s no break in sight. Although this may be the case and feelings are more than likely involved, God called us to be set apart and show his merciful love to others. I do not own copy rights to the music used in this video. Hope you enjoy 🙂

Run to the Father: Prayer for Peace

Hey Guys! Welcome back to my blog!

Today’s topic is on peace.

Sometimes we go through life lacking peace. God wants to give us his peace which transcends all understanding because he is our good Father. This video was inspired by Cody Carnes song: Run To The Father. I do not own copy rights for the music used in this video.

Hope you enjoy, I loved searching the scriptures which played the biggest role in creating this video!

Preparing Yourself for a Godly Relationship

Hey Everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Its been a hectic time in the world with COVID-19 and all. My prayer is that we can stay safe during this time of trouble and seek refuge in him who knows all things. I pray for peace and a sound mind as well as protection for you all.

In Today’s post I have chosen to be vulnerable and speak about my own struggles with holding onto a soul tie that took a lot of courage and God seeking in order to break free from. I talk about ways to prepare yourself for a God honoring and wholesome relationship. I’ll say less and let the video below speak for itself.

Until next time. ❤

The Power of the Word in a Christians Life!

Hi Friends! Happy new year and welcome back to my blog!
I have been reading the word of God and got inspired to speak on the value of it because it is such an integral element in a christian’s life. I had to share my thoughts on it. I love the way the word has the power to transform, encourage and grow the believer into the calling that God has for them. I truly hope you enjoy the video!

The Best way to Overcome Barriers to Intimacy with God

Hi y’all! Thanks for coming back to my blog and If your’e new, welcome! Today I will be covering part 2 of where I left off from last weeks topic “3 barriers to intimacy with God.” This week I will be discussing the best way to overcome those barriers. Let’s jump right in!

Last week I gave 3 examples of barriers that prevent us from experiencing intimacy with God which were a hurt heart, mistaken identity & cherished sin. Now for this blog entry, I did consider structuring it to reflect solutions to each one of these 3 barriers, but now while writing on it, my heart has settled on speaking about the one best way to negate barriers to intimacy with God.

To sum it up, in order to overcome barriers you must first withdraw yourself from outside people, events and things, quite yourself before God and commune with him. As simple as that. The scriptures make it clear when it says “Come boldly before the throne of grace” (Hebrews 4:16). And the reason it says to come boldly is because you are the righteousness of Christ. God is more than willing to take you back (read about the prodigal son in Luke 15). If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us (1 John 1:9). See, the barriers discussed above are all summarized into the mindsets of guilt and shame, which prevent us from living our best life within God’s presence.

The scriptures remind us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). In order to do that you have to intentionally desire the word of God and commune with him through prayer and worship. This is not to satisfy a religious call, but rather to genuinely cultivate and grow relationship with Jesus. Rectify you motives in all things and lay it down before the altar so that God has room to move in your life without your walls being up towards him. He wants a relationship with you, do not let anything stand in the way of that. Let him in. Let yourself enjoy the freedom that comes through him who embodies it. Trust me, it’s so worth it!!!

Next week I plan to make a video on the word of God and why it plays a significant role in a Christian’s walk with Christ.

See you all next week, happy New Year & stay blessed! ❤

3 Barriers to Intimacy with God

Welcome back to my blog; a life of learning! Your girl is coming back to you as a new grad, having just completed my nursing degree! I am a BScN graduate and I am so eager to begin working under this new title. My final step now is to complete the NCLEX exam which covers all materials I have learned in the past 4 years (not too pumped to have to review pharmacology if I’m being honest). My passions are currently in obstetrics and women’s health. I can also see myself working in the nursing fields of mental and public/community health. If I get a job in any of the above, I would be so very grateful. God has been good to me regardless. I believe that he only has plans to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lets jump right into the message. Are you longing for a deeper relationship with God? Are you seeking to experience his presence? This blog entry was inspired by John & Lisa Beveres’ book titled pathway to his presence where they teach readers ways to experience life and intimacy with God. The book highlights how to overcome barriers that prevent us from connecting deeper to our heavenly father. What are some barriers you might ask? They include…

Mistaken Identity: Not being aware of who God says you are. Staying in this kind of mindset enables shame, regret and doubt to manifest as unbelief in our lives and distance us from God. When you lose sight of who you are, you become vulnerable to the thoughts of man which can be degrading and contrary to the identity and purpose that God calls us to. Colossians 1:13-14 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

sin

Cherished Sin: Sin that continues to harbor itself in our lives and is given permission to stay rather than being confronted and removed. Sin creates a chasm between ourselves and our heavenly father, rendering us powerless to overcome it unless we confront it with the power of the holy spirit dwelling in us and the blood of Christ which sets us free from all forms of bondage. Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.

hurt & pain
pamelachristianministries.com

Heart Wounds: Pain or hurt from the past can prevent us from knowing God and experiencing his unmerited grace and mercies. At the age of 9 my parents got divorced and I had to experience life without a father figure. I was angry at my dad, to the point where my perception of my heavenly father was misconstrued. I didn’t trust God and I couldn’t experience the fullness of his love as consequence. It wasn’t until I relinquished those thoughts and brought them to the obedience of Christ, washed myself in the word of God, which proved more true and more real than my hurts and pains, that I was able to draw closer to him. Psalms 68:5 God is the father to the fatherless..

Reflecting on my current self, I’ve come to realize that I’ve grown comfortable with living as a somewhat mediocre christian during this last semester of school. For instance, I haven’t been doing a good job with filling myself with his word, praying and seeking his guidance. My close friends and family would probably agree and tell you right now that this kind of negligence to spiritual growth shows. I forgot about the Holy Spirit and his power living inside of me, to the extent where I didn’t consult him before choosing to fall back into past sin. I felt compelled to write on this topic of intimacy with God because I know I’m not the only one trying to work out a relationship with him and making mistakes along the way.

These mistakes dont make us who we are, for we are washed and sanctified by the blood of Christ as Christians. God measures the condition of our hearts and the level of our faith. Each new day, we get the opportunity to live for Christ and we get to learn ways to overcome temptation/sin by the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. Our faith is strengthened and developed as we walk in his admonition and in his will, so don’t beat yourself up. As a believer in Christ, you are compatible with God and made new, he will continue to renew and transform you as you walk with him.

How the Godly Man Pursues

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog!

Sadly, this will be my last blog post until end of December because I will be doing my final nursing preceptorship in labour and delivery, which I’m so pumped for! I have about 3 more months until I complete my 4 year Bachelors in nursing degree and I honestly cannot wait to be done and working.

On another note, I wanted to create a video which is sequential to my previously uploaded one titled Single, but not desperate. Here I am speaking on how to identify the pursuit of a kingdom man. If this man does not have these qualities & characteristics then watch out! You may not want to lead him on or invest in a relationship with him. Of course every relationship is different and unique and my opinions shared in this video are not absolute, but they are wisdom in my eyes and perhaps you may agree or not agree or stand in between with what I have to say. Also, for the men who stumble upon this video, do not fret! In a nutshell, if you have an active relationship with Christ then you will most likely fall well into the 3 categories I discuss in it. Now wipe that sweat off and enjoy the video 🙂

Like always like and comment below! did you learn something? Did something offend you? Agree or disagree? Lets start a discussion 🙂

Love you guys regardless ❤

Single, but not desperate!

Hey guys! welcome back to my blog! School is starting in under 24 hours and I’ll be entering my final semester of university which is downright exciting! For my last blog of the summer, I wanted to address the topic of singleness for those of you who are single and waiting for marriage.

It is ok to desire marriage. Marriage is a gift from God, but don’t lose sight of the many opportunities you have to grow in love, faith and joy during your singleness journey. Singleness is not a prison, it is a passport, a gift, a place of self discovery and fulfillment in Christ. I discuss more about this in the video down below!

I hope you enjoyed!

I really appreciate feedback and would love to hear your thoughts about this. Comment your thoughts, whether you agree or disagree with my own opinion. What stood out to you the most and anything interesting you learned? Like the video and subscribe to stay updated on future posts. I would love to do a part 2 on this topic, what do you think?

See you next time ❤
